MIT Innovation Internship Information

Overall Description :

MIT Students will help develop Software and AI Systems in a fast-paced Start-Up environment specializing in innovative training and technology solutions while learning real-world Data Science. This is an opportunity for real-world experience while also having periodic lunch and learns for personal growth. Students involved in this internship will have to sign an NDA and non-compete. Have some fun with us changing the world.

Time Commitment: 5 – 10 hours a week but class work comes first

Prerequisite:

If you have a love for learning, like programming, and want to build tools in a learning environment then this is the internship for you. We will teach you what you need to know.

Project Overview:

There are several projects to pick from.

  1. Data Representation and programming in a Neo4J environment. This will be thinking about and helping to build graphical modeling of domains and information.
  2. AI and Machine Learning using python to build back end learning systems to enhance learners ability to learn new things more effectively
  3. PHP and Node.js Programming to developing innovative web-based programs and UI tools to aid in the education process in a virtual world

Each intern will first go through our Self-Directed Learning course to give them a background in our learning philosophy. We will then discuss what your interest are and align the project needs with your interest. We will provide guidance in not only for the work but also life lessons learned over many years in the technology industry, after all, we are passionate about learning and teaching.

There will be lunch and learns put on every other week as a learning opportunity.

We are good at mentoring interns having established and helped run an internship program at Stanley Black & Decker.
